3 Most Radical Faith Bible Verses

Real faith is radical. It’s practical. It’s not ‘safe’ or ‘ordinary’. It believes God, takes him at his word, praises him in the waiting before reaping the end result. Sadly, most believers don’t experience the power of Faith in their day-to-day lives. When most Christians imagine Radical Christian Faith, they picture someone giving all they have to the poor, or becoming a missionary to a foreign country. To some it may be praying for healing of the sick and raising the dead. The truth is, if you’ve had a revelation from God to step out in Faith and trust, many would call you a radical!

Having faith is essential to being a believer. The word ‘faith’ is often used to mean believing in Jesus Christ, but as Christians we must have faith in more than just ‘faith’ itself. Faith doesn’t just mean believing that God exists – it’s being fully persuaded and convinced that God is who he said he is, and in Christ all his promises are Yes and Amen. It’s being impregnated with expectation, an expected outcome. Faith in God’s promises (from His word) works and faith makes things happen!

Let’s have a look at three of my favourite radical faith bible verses:

“And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:22-24

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

If Faith pleases God, then Faith must be very important to Him. Why? Because Faith in God means having confidence in him who He is. We’re depending on His character and nature when we trust God to do what he says (in the promises of scripture). Faith isn’t wishful thinking, faith is a solid confidence in God’s faithfulness.

How can I get radical Faith?

When you read through Hebrews chapter 11, you’ll learn and be inspired about what radical faith really is from our heroes of the faith. These faith heroes did not doubt God, they had faith in His promises. They believed he would do what he said, when He said it, despite what they say, how they felt or even when everything seemed hopeless. They continued to trust God.

Want more Faith? You need more Word. You need to hear the Word to know what’s promised. Meditating on the Word of God day and night brings confidence that what God has said and promised you is available to you. He’s done it, now receive it! Finding it hard to believe? Keep renewing your mind to His way of thinking. Some may say that’s too hard, or even call it radical! But how hungry are you? How desperate to see miracles break open in your life? How much do you want to please God?

As you read your bible, you’ll find your faith will begin to grow. Stick with it. Your faith will be strengthened as you hear what He said, knowing it’s just a matter of time before you reap his promises in your life!

I hope my story can inspire you to live a passionate life of purpose.
