Faith It Till You Make It

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Have you ever heard the expression “faith it till you make it”? My guess is that you’ve probably heard this expression in some form or another. It is used on several t-shirts, necklaces, and other places online to help inspire Christians in their faith.

“Faith it till you make it” is the Christian version of “fake it until you make it”. It means to continue forward in faith until you see the manifestation of the things believed for.

This expression encourages Christians to not give up, to stay in the faith and fight the good fight of faith until they can see the miracle with their own eyes!

In this post, we will explain what real faith looks like so that when you hear or see the “Faith it till you make it” expression, you’ll know exactly what the intention is behind it.

Let’s start by looking at what the Bible says about faith in Hebrews 11:1,

Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Hebrews 11:1 AMP

Faith is now

Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is now!! Not yesterday, not tomorrow, it is available right now. The Kingdom of God is at hand (Matthew 4:17), and faith is accessible right here right now.

Faith is now, when we pray and believe that we have received it, God promises us that it will be ours (Mark 11:24). Sometimes we get discouraged because we don’t see results straight away – the natural realm needs to catch up with the spiritual realm. Once you’ve received it in the spirit, patiently wait in faith for the manifestation of that thing you are hoping for.

Stay in faith (now!) until you see it – faith it till you make it, don’t give up!

Faith is certain

Faith is the “assurance (title deed, confirmation)” of the things you are hoping for.

Faith is the state of being absolutely certain that what God said in His Word is a done deal. There’s no room for doubt because you have the title deed in your heart, the confirmation of the things you are hoping for according to God’s Will. Faith is a done deal!

Don’t let doubt steal from you. It’s a dangerous place to be because if you let doubt infiltrate your heart, you will stop the powerful force of faith operating in your life – stealing your miracle. So, stay in the course of faith, press on to reach the end of the race, and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling you (Philippians 3:14).

Stay in faith, being fully persuaded that God has the power to do what He promised (Romans 4:21). Faith it till you make it!

Faith is your guarantee

God’s promises are Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus (Romans 1:17), and your faith is the guarantee of these promises.

Have you ever broken a device and had to go back to the manufacturer? In order for them to fix it or change it, you have to show them proof of the guarantee.

In the same way, whenever you put your faith in God’s promises, you can be sure that He will fulfill what He said. Your faith is the guarantee and you can count on that. So, make sure your faith is active at all times, it guarantees God’s promises are fulfilled in your life. Until this happens, faith it till you make it!

Faith is the evidence

Faith is your evidence even though you may not see a promise of God fulfilled in your life yet. You can see it in faith.

Faith is full of expectation and thanksgiving. It’s unshakeable confidence, an inner knowing that you have received what God has promised before you see it. It is yours and already exists in the Spirit – it’s just a matter of time before you see the manifestation.

When the devil tries to get you discouraged because you can’t see the promise of God in your life yet, let faith be your evidence. See that promise with your faith eye – not with your natural eyes, faith it till you make it!

Faith is a matter of the heart

In the parable of the sower Jesus taught (Matthew 13:1-23), the seed represents the Word of God. When this seed is planted in good soil, it goes through a process of growth before it reaches harvest. If the soil is compromised, the crop will fail before its time.

The soil represents our hearts. If we want to see God’s promises (the seeds) fulfilled in our lives, we need to make sure we keep our hearts in check, making sure they stay in a good condition for the seeds to grow and become the largest trees in our hearts.

The power is in the seed (God has done His part), our job is to keep our hearts in right standing with God, certain that He will do what He said He would. Our job is to fight the good fight of faith.

Don’t give up!

Faith it till you make it encourages the believer, reminding them to have faith in God, despite the circumstances. Understanding what faith is, makes this statement even more powerful. Faith is being fully convinced that God’s promises are a done deal, it is your guarantee and the evidence of the things you are hoping for, and it is available right now!

Choose to stay in faith and see God’s promises fulfilled in your life. Faith it till you make it! When you make it, raise your expectation, believe God for more, and keep fighting the good fight of faith.

I hope my story can inspire you to live a passionate life of purpose.
